    It’s time…

    April 9th, 2008

Alright City of Ottawa and Sens fans from every corner of this country… it’s time…

Time to dust off your car flags and Sens decals.

Time for businesses along the Mile to deck out their windows with decorations showing that they support the team and the fans.

Time for the City of Ottawa to put BACK up the Sens Mile signs they tore down 5 days after the last playoff run.

Time for us as fans to come together to show our support for the best damn team in the NHL.

Tonight is Game 1 — let’s make Crosby whine like the baby he is.

    GO SENS GO!!!!

    A Message from the Mile

    April 9th, 2008

I’m loving the spirit coming through on the Facebook group guys!

THIS is the passion that the Sens Mile was created for.

Get out there and make yourselves known Sens fans.

Eugene Melnyk and the team believe that Ottawa is the best city for hockey fans. Let’s make damn sure we show them it is! GO SENS GO!!!

    Thanks,
    Sarah O’Grady

    Sens Mile 2008

    April 7th, 2008

The media has been calling and are interested in knowing if the fans support the Mile and support the team.  We’re pretty certain they do… but I think the team needs to feel a bit more support from Sens fans… so get the decals and car flags on the cars and windows and start Revving Up the Red ASAP!  We’re in the playoffs and it’s time to take Sidney Crosby down!!!

Note to Elgin Street Businesses & Councillor Holmes

    April 7th, 2008

Dear Councillor Holmes and Elgin Street Business Owners and Managers,

It’s playoff time again this year and we know Elgin Street is the best place in the City to celebrate our Ottawa Senators.

    Businesses:

Rev up the Red before Wednesday!! It would sure be great to see your windows painted, decorations up, red lights in the windows and you folks creating an atmosphere where people will want to come down and party.

It would also be great if each of you would publicly commit to giving $100 in profits from every night during the playoff run to the Roger’s House charity. You show your support for not only the team and the fans, but a great charity that does a lot of work for this city!

    Councillor Holmes and the City:

It would be great if you would take the lead on getting those Elgin Street “Sens Mile” street signs back up. People thought they were pretty novel and it served to underline Elgin as the place to be during the playoffs. Your support would be much appreciated - so get those signs out of storage and back up on the Mile!

    Thanks!!
